LLS Man Of The Year

Dear friends, family, and general supporters,

I have been nominated for the Man of the Year for San Francisco. This is a humbling nomination and an opportunity to do something great. Over the course of the next two months I am dedicating myself to raise money for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society (LLS). You can donate towards my campaign at:
http://gsf.llsevent.org/pledge/index.cfm?mid=ONEHOPE . The campaign is over in May so please act quickly if you intend on making a donation.

For those of you who don't know, new cases of leukemia, Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma account for 9.6 percent of the 1,437,180 new cancer cases diagnosed in the United States this year. That means that LLS works to help about 1 in 10 people who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. I have not shared my story of how Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer has touched and changed my life with too many people, but I will take the opportunity to explain it to you in next week’s email. I will also be talking about how cancer in general has affected my life and loved ones recently in later emails. This is the first of eight emails that will go out to you (from me) over the next two months. In each of the emails my goal will be to do a minimum of three things:

  1. Make you laugh
  2. Make you think
  3. Have your emotions move you to tears (could be happiness or joy)

In the words of the late Jimmy V. “If you laugh, you think, and you cry; that’s a full day!”

Lastly, I also plan on giving each of you a small look into who I’ve become and who I want to become in my life. This will include updates on me personally as well as the incredible people and organizations I get to share life with everyday.

Once again to make a donation to my campaign please click the following link. The campaign goes through the third week of May.

FOR ANYONE WHO DONATES $250 or MORE I WILL BE SENDING OUT A SPECIAL EDITION PRIVATE LABEL CASE OF CABERNET SAUVIGNON BLENDED BY FAMOUS WINE MAKER DAVID ELLIOT BOTTLED IN ONE OF THE BEST REGIONS IN SONOMA. Check this case out at: www.onehopewine.com

If you cannot donate, I totally understand. If you could please do me the favor of sending this out to at least a few of your close friends or family members that would mean just as much as you directly supporting me.

Sincerely,

Jake Kloberdanz
